Edna Micauchik Baird, 1920-1999

Edna Baird, 79, of Sioux City died Monday, Aug. 30, 1999, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Allen Bidne officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mrs. Baird was born Aug. 13, 1920, in Sioux City, the daughter of William and Stella (Serdinsky) Micauchik. She graduated from Central High School.

She married Andrew A. Wisner in 1941, in Sioux City. He died in 1949, in Sioux City.

She then married Theodore Baird in 1951, in Sioux City. The couple moved to a farm in Lawton, Iowa. They returned in Sioux City. He died in 1949, in Sioux City.

She was employed with Swift and Co. for 38 years, retiring in 1984. She enjoyed playing bingo.

Survivors include her special friend, Donald Gude of Sioux City; four daughters, Sandra L. Parks of Sioux City, Andrea and her husband, Jeff McElroy of Concord, Calif., Rhonda and her husband, Ervin Sencenbaugh of Akron, Iowa, and Theann and her husband, Brian Nassen of San Diego, Calif.; 10 grandchildren, Stephanie Divis, David and Tony Parks, Brett Mann, Eric and Kayla Sencenbaugh, James Eric and Brian Murphy, Greggory and Cari Ann Nassen; a stepgrandson, Daniel Sencenbaugh; three grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Helen Micauchik and Ann Seaton; a brother, Walter Micauchik; an infant grandson, Scott Baird Sencenbaugh.

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Divis, Doug Gude, Brian and James Murphy, Gregg Nassen, David and Tony Parks and Eric Sencenbaugh.
