Ruth J. Kilker, 93, passed away June 30, 2001 at her daughter’s home in Glencoe, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her son, Grange (Huff) and her husband, Edward.

Mrs. Kilker was born October 14, 1907 in Pisgah, Iowa.

After receiving her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Morningside College in 1962, she went on to teach for eleven years in the Westwood Community Schools. She was a member of the Community of Christ (formerly the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) where her selfless faith, innumerable acts of Christian charity and outstanding community service inspired all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Mari Lyn Baker, her grandchildren, Candy, Terry, Patrick and Wendy; her great-grandchildren, Steven, Brian, Kerry, Sara, Kyle, Alexander, Michael, Molly and Jamie and great-great-great grandchild, Nicole and Kristi.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 14, at Community of Christ, 3232 Transit Ave., in Sioux City. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery.
