Jana Lee, 52, of Sioux City, passed away at her home, surrounded by family and friends, Sunday, May 20, 2018, after a long fight with cancer.

A celebration of life service will be 4 to 7 p.m. today, with a prayer services at 4 p.m., at Country Celebrations. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Jana Lee was born on Feb. 19, 1966, in Sioux City, the daughter of Donald and Katherine (Paulos) Byrne. She attended Sioux City Community Schools and graduated from North Nigh School in the class of 1984. Jana was employed with Bishops, Rudy Salem, Boulevard Foods, before touching the lives of her day care kids and families which she did for 27 years in Sioux City.

Jana married Robert E. Lee on May 20, 1989 in Sioux City.

Jana loved camping, spending time with family and friends, the family dog, Remmie, talking with people and telling stories. She was a member of First Lutheran Church.

Jana is survived by her husband, Robert of Sioux City; son, Robert of Sioux City; daughter, Allison and her fiance, Andrew Whitead of Sioux City; her mother, Katherine Byrne; brother, Craig Byrne of Sioux City; two sisters, Lisa Barker and her husband, Charlie of Sioux City, and Karen Sowienski and her husband, Stanley of Sioux City; several nieces, and nephews; and her day care families.

She was preceded in death by her father; and one brother, Jeff.

Memorial donations may be given at Great Southern Bank in Jana's name.
