A.R. Wheeler Dies As A Result of Injuries

A.R. Wheeler, the switchman of the Northwestern railroad, who was crushed between the buffers of two passenger coaches which he was trying to couple yesterday afternoon, died in the police ambulance while it was on its way to the Samaritan Hospital. He was 27 years old.

Wheeler is survived by his widow and two small daughters, Bernice and Vivian. His home was in Yankton, where he was a 32d degree Mason, being a member of the Yankton consistory. He was the son of Dr. Hial Wheeler, who at one time was a well known physician in Sioux City before removing to Cope, Colorado where he now resides.

It is probable that the funeral will be held at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon and will be in charge of the Masons.
