Correctionville, Iowa— Lola May Joy Fitch, 93, of Correctionville died Saturday, January 14, 1995 at Embassy Tower Care Center in Sergeant Bluff.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Grace United Methodist Church in Correctionville with the Rev. DeeAnn Klapp officiating. Burial will be in the Correctionville Cemetery under the direction of Barker Funeral Homes. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was born July 12, 1901, south of Correctionville, the daughter of Clarence and Nellie (Barnes) Joy. She married Leslie Ray Fitch June 9, 1920, in Ida Grove, Iowa. The couple farmed south and east of Correctionville for 47 years before retiring and moving to town in 1965.

Survivors include three sons and their wives, Stanley and Betty, Cyril and Geraldine and Jerry and Elaine, all of Correctionville; four daughters, Norma Mathers of Cushing, Iowa, Grace Groszkrueger and her husband, Henry and Alta Clark and her husband, Danny, all of Correctionville, Marie Koskovich and her husband, Wayne of Renton, Washington; a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Fitch of Battle Creek, Iowa; a brother, Ford Joy of Correctionville; a sister, Wilma Krantz of Cushing, Iowa; 41 grandchildren, 73 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Warren; three sisters, Elsie Roche, Vinnie Foster and Mary Wonder; two brothers, Lee Joy and Loren Joy and two grandchildren, Sharon Fitch and Calvin Clark.
