George Brickey 1892 - 1939

The body of George Brickey, 46, World War veteran enrolled in the Stone Park CCC Camp, was sent to Virginia, Minnesota, Wednesday for funeral services and burial. Mr. Brickey died Tuesday in a local hospital after a 12- day illness with influenza.

Mr. Brickey, who served overseas in Battery F of the 125th field artillery, was born April 18, 1892, at Eagle Bend, Minnesota and had lived at Virginia from 1908 until August 1 when he joined the CCC Camp here.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Henry Lietz of Collinsville, Oklahoma, two brothers, Orbin of Kelly Lake, Minnesota and Everett of Collinsville and two sisters, Mrs. George Anderson of Virginia and Mrs. Ira E. Brodie of Kansas City, Missouri.
