Mary Eveleth, 96, of Rock Island, died Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 29, 2004 at Larson Funeral Home, Rock Island. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Sloan Cemetery, Sloan, Iowa. Visitation will be Thursday 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mary was born March 2, 1908 in Davenport, Iowa the daughter of Robert and Anna Stender Mullen. She married George Eveleth September 9, 1940 in Red Wing, Minnesota. He died March 19, 1990.

She enjoyed being a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Rock Island. She belonged to the Clarkson Circle of the King's Daughters. She was also a P.E.O.

Mary is survived by a son, Richard Eveleth, Highland Park, JL. and several nieces, nephews and cousins including Phyllis (Ronald) Kelly, Salix, IA.

In addition to her husband, Mary was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Youngs and a niece, Marilyn Youngs.
