Jon David Heider, 78, of Sioux City, died on Jan. 10, 2018.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church in Sioux City.
Jon was born on Feb. 6, 1939, in Akron, Iowa, to Junice and Edmund Heider. He was a graduate of Akron High School, and the University of South Dakota. Jon was a CPA, who worked in public and private accounting. Jon married Carole Waterman on Sept. 8, 1962.
Jon is survived by his wife, Carole; son, Bradley (Lauri); daughter, Jennifer (Shane); grandchildren, Amanda and Kelbey Heider, Cody and Kaitlyn Freese; and siblings, Mary Goss, Michael Heider, and Pat Riley.
He was preceded in death by parents; his in-laws, Wayne and Evelyn Waterman; and his sister, Kay McCorkell.
Memorials may be directed to the family to be used at First Lutheran Church.
