Stephen Eugene Allen, 30, of Sioux City died Monday, July 18, 2005, in Sioux City.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Gustine First Baptist Church in Gustine, Texas. Burial will be in Trickham Cemetery, Trickham, Texas. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. today at Harrell Funeral Home in Dublin, Texas. Arrangements in Sioux City where under the direction of Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel.

Stephen was born Aug. 9, 1974, in Glendale, Calif., the son of Jimmie F. and Nancy (Page) Allen. As a young child, he moved with his family to Texas. He was raised and attended school in El Paso, Texas. He entered the U.S. Army Reserves during his junior year in school and graduated from Cy-Fair High School in 1992. He continued his education at Tarlton State University. He was in the active Reserves until 1997, when he became full-time active duty.

He married Tabatha Holt on Feb. 20, 1999, in Fort Worth, Texas. Together, they made their home in Texas until 2002, when they moved to Sioux City for his military assignment.

He was a lifelong Baptist and enjoyed golfing and collecting all sorts of duck paraphernalia.

Survivors include his wife, Tabatha of Sioux City; three daughters, Sarah Allen, Krista Allen and Mary Allen, all at home; his parents, Jimmie F. and Nancy Allen of Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters and their husbands, Christine and Peter Levy of Lanexa, Texas, and Cynthia and Mike Newton of Gustine, Texas; his mother-in-law and stepfather-in-law, Starla and Gil Hargrave of Athens, Texas; three sisters-in-law, Chellaine Hargrave, Tianna Hargrave and Miranda Hargrave, all of Athens, Texas; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Kris Holt.
