Erma R. Dorsey, 71, of Sioux City died Thursday, July 21, 2005, at her residence following a brief illness.

The body was cremated. There will be no services. Burial will be at a later date in Logan Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Mrs. Dorsey was born Feb. 5, 1934, in Moville, Iowa, the daughter of Dale and Blanche (Blaisdell) Morgan. She graduated from Moville High School.

She married John D. Dorsey Sr. on May 29, 1953, in Moville. He died Aug. 24, 2000, in Sioux City.

She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was active in Girls Scouts and Boys Scouts.

Survivors include a daughter, Susan Weinmann of Sioux City; a son and his wife, John D. and Terri Dorsey Jr. of Sioux City; two brothers and their wives, LeRoy and Shirley Morgan of San Antonio, Texas, and Glenn and Joanne Morgan of Kingsley, Iowa; and three grandsons, David, Daniel and Tad.

She was preceded in death her parents; and two sisters, Fern Coover and Doris Gallup.
