24 June 1946Rudolf J. Hajny, 63, 809 S. Cecelia Street, died Sunday at his home after a long illness.
Mr. Hajny was born April 13, 1883 at Morvia, Czechoslovak and came with his parents to the United States in 1886. They resided at Omaha and in 1905 Mr. Hajny came to Sioux City. He married Mary Novak at Omaha.
Before retiring three years ago because of poor health he had been employed 49 years at the Cudahy packing plant. He was a member of the Blue Vase at Cudah’s, the Rustin Avenue Methodist Church, Karl Haverck Borovsky lodge, Independent Order of Foresters and I.O.O.F. 164
Survivors are the widow, a son, George R. of Staunton, Virginia, a daughter, Mrs. Josephine A. Kunnen of Sioux City, a brother, Stance of Omaha, a sister, Mrs. Mabel Turner of Los Angeles and two grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Nelson-Berger Funeral Home.
