Joseph Paul Jackson, 75, of Sioux City, passed away Monday, March 25, 2018, at Pleasant View Care Center in Whiting, Iowa.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael Catholic Church in South Sioux City. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., and vigil service at 7 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City.

Joseph Paul Jackson was born Dec. 5, 1942, in Chicago, Ill., the son of John S. Teal and Marcy Johnson. He was later adopted by his grandmother.

Mr. Jackson served his country during the Vietnam War with the United States Air Force. Joseph was employed as a commercial electrician.

He married Judith A. Kassing on Jan. 20, 1962, in Omaha.

Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife, Judy; three sons, Joseph Jackson (Maureen Robinson) of Maynard, Mass., Daniel (Lori) Jackson of Sioux City, and David (Karla) Jackson of Sioux City; four daughters, Christine (Scott) Rector of Bellevue, Neb., Michelle Boltjes (Marty Johnson) of South Sioux City, Barbara (Rick) Hanson of Sioux City, and Veronica (Osvaldo) Santos of Wilmington, N.C.; one brother, Del Jackson of Georgia; 19 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; five sisters; and one granddaughter.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Pleasant View Care Center in Whiting, Iowa, for the special care and love Joseph received there.
