Nellie S. Brown, 39, of Winnebago, formerly of Sioux City, passed Tuesday, May 1, 2018, due to health complications.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Ho-Chunk Center in Winnebago, with Mr. Stuart Snake officiating. Burial will be in Rave Cemetery. Visitation will be today until service time Friday at the Ho-Chunk Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Winnebago Wake and Burial Program.
She was born on March 6, 1979. She grew up in Winnebago and lived in Sioux City for many years. In 2011, she returned to Winnebago until she became ill.
Nellie is survived by her grandmother, Bernice Steele; uncle, Harvey Rogers; brother, Horace Rave; nieces, Kayleen Brown, and Emily Rave; and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Emily Rave-Sampson; father, Rodney Sampson; brother, Elgy S. Brown; and uncle, Herman Rave.
