Debra Lee Thieman, 66, of Sioux City, passed away Wednesday Jan. 10, 2018 at a Sioux City nursing home.

Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Debra Lee Thieman was born Dec. 31, 1951 in Sioux City, the daughter of Virgil and Fern (Wiegel) Simmons. She married David D. Thieman in May of 1970 in Sioux City. He preceded her in death on Jan. 28, 2004.

Debra was a longtime employee of the city of Sioux City at the Sioux City Convention Center. In her free time, she enjoyed fishing and gardening. Debra was a resident of Sioux City the majority of her life.

Mrs. Thieman is survived by her son, Brian Thieman and his wife, Marina; son, Brad Thieman and his wife, Lisa; granddaughter, Carly Kucera; grandson, Daniel Thieman and her brother, Doug Simmons.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; her sister, Kate Loos and brother, Bruce Simmons.
