Douglas K. Gurnsey, 56, of San Angelo, formerly of Sioux City and Greeley, Colo., passed away on Dec. 31, 2017.
Douglas enjoyed fishing, dancing, cooking, music and the mountains. He was a master journeyman electrician and an expert on running a jobsite. He was very smart, hard-headed, and most of all, he had a huge, loving heart. He lived a short, but full, life and will forever be remembered for all the memories we shared with him.
Douglas is survived by his wife, Kathy Allen-Gurnsey; daughters, Salix Gurnsey and Amanda Rose; granddaughter, Delaney Pruitt; step-daughter, Krystal Mitchell; brothers, Rick Clay, George Clay and Edward Gurnsey; sisters, Linda Conner, Cathie Shafer, Janice Clay and Pam Rissell. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Douglas was proceeded in death by his mother, Bonnie Rissell; step-father, Gene Rissell; sister, Beth Ann Gurnsey and brother, James Sanford Gurnsey.
