Patrick James O’Mara, 62, of Sioux City, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018 at his residence.

Patrick will be cremated and private family services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Becker Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City.

Pat was born Jan. 13, 1956 in Sioux City. He was the son of Darrel E. and Pauline P. (Primates) O’Mara. Pat graduated from Oakland-Craig High School in Oakland, Neb. in 1974. He lived most of his life in the Sioux City area.

Pat had worked at Swift & Company, Old Home Bakery, Walmart and most recently as a truck driver.

Survivors include his daughter, Jenny O’Mara of South Sioux City; a brother, Steve O’Mara (Pam) of Tekamah, Neb.; two sisters, Pamela Johnson (Milan) of South Sioux City and Paula O’Mara of Sioux City; two nieces, Casey Moseman and Michelle Potts; and three nephews, Kevin and Brent O’Mara and Marc Johnson.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents and his sister-in-law, Mary (Johnson) O’Mara.
