Donna Flo (Rusing) Niles, 62, of Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of Sioux City, passed from this earth Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at Nathan Adelsen Hospice in Las Vegas following a courageous battle with cancer.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Palm Mortuary in Las Vegas.

Donna Flo Stertz was born Aug. 6, 1942, in Colorado Springs, Colo. She grew up in Sioux City. She worked for Ginsberg's Jewelers and married Roy Dorian Rusing in 1966. In Sioux City, she was a den mother for Cub Scout Den 1105 and was active in the Sioux City Kennel Club. She also worked with horses at the Kay Dee Ranch. She became co-owner and manager of the Martin Apartments and the Davidson Building in the downtown area. She left Sioux City in 1972.

She later had a successful career as a Realtor in Madison, Wis., Colorado Springs, Colo. as well as Las Vegas, where she worked for Pardee Homes. In 1994, she married Enos "Mick" Niles, who preceded her in death in 2001.

She leaves behind her children, Allen Kennedy and his wife, Sandy, Laura and her husband, Allen Ball, and Roy Rusing III and his wife, Tammy; her grandmother, Viola Betsworth; a brother, Tom Stertz and his wife, Lynn; a special aunt and uncle, Beverly A.S. and George Bradley; six grandchildren, Ken, Courtney, Shannon, Aaron, Dori and Veena; her faithful dog, Baggins; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

She was a strong and kind woman with a great sense of humor. She was a true inspiration to her family and will be greatly missed.
