Teresa Suman, 68, of Knoxville, Tenn., formerly of Sioux City, died Saturday, December 25, 1999 at her residence.

Services were held December 28, at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Knoxville, where the Rev. Al Humbrecht and David Boettner officiated. Burial was held in Middlesboro, Kentucky. Arrangements were under the direction of Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel.

Mrs. Suman was born October 26, 1931 in Sioux City, the daughter of Albert and Skout Nasser. She graduated from Cathedral High School and St. Vincent’s School of Nursing.

She was a retired social worker with K.C.D.C. and Daniel Arthur Rehab Center in Knoxville.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Cathedral.

Survivors include three sons and their wives, Al and Cindy of Atlanta, Ga., Michael and Juliet of Miami, Florida and Steve and Dorene of Harrogate, Tennessee, two daughters and their husbands, Cindy and Dr. Dean Mire and Jennine and Jerry Smith, all of Knoxville, 11 grandchildren, Heather, Celia, Emma, Given, Jeremy and Brooke Suman, Sophia, Jenna, Anna and Leila Mire and Julianna Smith, two sisters, Jean Ferris of Sioux City and Marie Zakeer of Fort Dodge, Iowa and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Given R., her parents, a brother, Marion and three sisters, Dorothy, Rose and Lorraine.
