Anthon, Iowa-- Agnes G. Lester, 83, of Anthon, died Sunday in a Sioux City hospital of brief illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church at Anthon. The Rev. J.G. Skahill will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Sioux City. The rosary will be recited by the Catholic Daughters of America at 4 p.m. today and by the parish at 7:30 p.m. in the Walter Funeral Home in Anthon.

Miss Lester was born April 17, 1898 at Sioux City. She lived there until 1933 when she moved to Anthon. She was secretary and office manager for Dr. Francis Cauley at Anthon for many years.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America and longtime member of the Anthon Library Board.

Survivors include one brother, Donald of Holly Springs, Miss.
