Ed Godfrey, 74, of Montevideo, Minn., formerly of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Montevideo. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church. Visitation will resume 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Ed was born in Sioux City, on Oct. 21, 1942, to Leonard and Azalia Godfrey. He graduated from East High School in 1961.

Ed is survived by his wife of 54 years, Connie; children, Tim (Cindy) Godfrey, Ann Berglind, Craig Godfrey, and Amy (Mark) Reidinger; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Dorothy Amick, Judy (Rick) Utesch, Dale (Janet) Godfrey, Dwight (Mary Lou) Godfrey, Delano (Helen) Sutton, Clark Godfrey, Max (Sharon) Godfrey, and Lanny (Karon) Godfrey; and sister-in-law, Kay Godfrey.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert (Audrey) Godfrey and Jim Godfrey; brother-in-law, Ed Amick; and sister-in-law, Mary Godfrey.
