Donald Dean McCabe Jr., 65, of Lyons, formerly of Sioux City, died Friday, July 7, 2017, at the University of Nebraska Hospital in Omaha.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave.
Donald was born on April 14, 1952, in Sioux City, the son of Donald and Eileen (O'Donnell) McCabe. He was raised in Sioux City, graduating from East High School. He worked several jobs throughout Sioux City including, Zenith, Sioux City Foundry, Aalfs Manufacturing, and retiring from Hy-Vee Groceries Store.
Donald married Peggy Sue Johnson on July 27, 2005, but they were together more than 40 years.
Donald enjoyed playing Wii Bowling, and collecting baseball cards, beer steins and many other items. Donald also enjoyed socializing with friends and family and attending the senior center in Sioux City.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy McCabe of Lyons; one brother, Greg McCabe and his wife Deborah of Lakeland Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Richard McCabe.
