Jeffrey Wayne Holles, 37, of Lakewood, formerly of Sioux City, passed away April 9, 2017, at his residence.

Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church, 1735 Morningside Ave., in Sioux City, with the Rev. Jim Shirbroun officiating.

Jeff was born on Jan. 20, 1980, in Sioux City, the son of Wayne and Joan Holles. He graduated from East High School in 1998 and attended Wayne State College.

He was married to Cortney Person on April 13, 2001, in Dakota Dunes. He moved to the Denver, Colo., area in the summer of 2001, and lived in various suburbs of Denver. Jeff learned the construction trade while living in Sioux City. Jeff joined a framing crew when he moved to Denver. He worked with this crew for several years before accepting a position with Lennar Homes. Jeff held several positions with Lennar including his final position of director of quality and warranty.

Jeff left Lennar in 2014 after suffering a traumatic brain injury from a car accident. He sought out multiple treatments and therapies that would allow him to return to the workforce in 2015 with Oakwood Homes as vice president of warranty and building operations. Jeff continued to struggle with the long-term effects from the accident and left Oakwood Homes in late 2016.

Jeff was a confirmed member of Nativity Parish.

He is survived by a daughter and son, Kaya and Sage of Lakewood; his parents, Wayne and Joan Holles of Sioux City; a sister and her husband, Michelle and Alex Scortzaru of West Richland, Wash.; nieces, Taylor Butnight of Seattle, Wash., and Kayla, Haylee, and Jayden Burnight of West Richland; a nephew, Jacob Burnight of West Richland; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
