Lawrence John Bliss, 60, of Seguin, formerly of Sioux City, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017.

Services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Sioux City. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Larry was born on April 3, 1957, to Ray and Wanda (Frank) Bliss. He graduated from East High School in 1975. He left Sioux City and chose many different paths. His journeys took him from Florida to California and many places in between. His time on this earth connected him with many places and people.

Larry settled in Texas, where he worked for a horse rescue ranch. His trusted companions, his dogs, Bruiser and Artie, and his horses, Gus, Sport, Flying Low, and Little Texas, will miss his gentle touch and soft words.

Left to honor his memory are his sisters, Anita, Mary, Patti and Gloria; children, Rachel and Brandon; nieces, Justine, Alexa, Kaitlin, Ellys, and Hannah; and nephews, Aaron and Matthew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Wanda Bliss.

Those who knew Larry well, will forever miss his stories and warm smile, his quick wit and his way with words.
