Marcella Rose Snyder, 82, of Sioux City, died Friday, July 14, 2017, at her residence.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Glendale Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Marcella was born on Nov. 6, 1934, in Decatur, Neb., the daughter of Walter and Viola (Young) Griffin. On June 1, 1951, Marcella was united in marriage to Raymond Snyder. Marcella worked over the years as a bartender at several area businesses.

Marcella will be missed by all her family and friends. Her family always came first. She also loved the little white church in the valley called Glendale Baptist Church, where she was a member for more than 70 years.

Marcella is survived by her sons, Ricky (Gayla) Snyder, Terry (Chris) Snyder, Larry (and his partner, Barb) and Tommy (Dani) Snyder; her daughters, Rhonda (John) Hariluk and Bessie Schlink; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brothers, Earl (Naima) Griffin, and James (Bobby) Gallup; sister, Marion (Gallup) Moore, and Linda (Warren) Luhman; other relatives; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond in 2009; a daughter, Susan Walters; and granddaughter, Jessica Lee Snyder.
