Wesley Pas, 84, of Sioux City died Tuesday, November 5, 1996 at a Sioux City hospital.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Morningside Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Donohue Sariff officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, with the family present from 7 to 9 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Nelson-Berger Morningside Funeral Home.

Mr. Pas was born October 25, 1912 in Orange City, Iowa, the son of Gerritt and Hattie (De Gooyer) Pas. He married Marjorie Hall on December 16, 1939. He was employed with Roberts Dairy, retiring in 1974. He was an avid golfer and for many years was involved with the East High School football team, volunteering his time to fix equipment and many other duties.

Survivors include his wife; two sons and their wives, John and Karen and Rick and Cheryl; two daughters and their husbands, Betty and Fran Parrish and Lynn and Mike Porter; nine grandchildren, Amy, Randy, Bethany, Shannon, Stephanie, Teri, Jay, John and Chelsey; one great-granddaughter and one sister, Esther Schreur of Orange City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Helen Kay; five brothers and two sisters.

Memorial may be given in his name to the East High School football program.
