SIOUX CITY | Jerry C. Mohr, 65, of Sioux City, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017, at his residence.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Jerry was born on March 28, 1951, in Vermillion, S.D., the son of Carl and Elaine (Dose) Mohr. He grew up in Vermillion and moved to Sioux City in 1964.

He married June Mapes on April 12, 1968, in Salix, Iowa.

Jerry enjoyed gambling, bingo, fishing, road trips with his family, going to coffee with his friends on the weekend, spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids, and his special dog companion, Puppy.

Survivors include his wife, June; children, Tammy (Jim Dailey) Mohr, Carl Mohr, and Lee (Missy) Mohr, all of Sioux City; sisters, Cheryl (Donnie) Hinzman of Sioux City, and Sandy (Dan) Runyan of Wichita, Kan.; grandchildren, Samantha Mohr, Petyon Mohr, Katie and Steven Dailey; great-grandchildren, Nayeli Whitethunder, Hazel Mohr, Carter and Ava Dailey; several nieces and nephews; all of his friends at Short Staff; and his best friends, Dick Warden and Terry Booe.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Diane; and brothers, Larry, Jon "Tylo," Roger, and Steven.
