SIOUX CITY | Eva R. Flom, 87, of Sioux City, died Monday, Feb. 13, 2017, at a Sioux City hospital.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City.

Eva was born on March 30, 1929, in Emerson, Neb., the daughter of Russell and Nellie (Linafelter) Williams. Eva graduated from the Emerson High School.

On Dec. 26, 1949, Eva was united in marriage to Randall Flom in Ponca, Neb. They made their home near Storm Lake, Iowa, later moving to a farm near Jackson, Neb., and finally settling in Sioux City in 1956. Over the years she worked as a phone operator for Northern Bell. She also sold Sarah Coventry Jewelry around the area. After retiring, they moved to Newcastle, Neb. After her husband Randall died in 2010, she moved to Sioux City.

Eva and Randall enjoyed going square dancing. Eva loved to go to rummage sales and garage sales.

Eva is survived by her sons, David (Kim) Flom of North Sioux City, and Jeff Flom of Omaha; a daughter, Jeni Wright of Madison, Wis.; a stepgrandson, Marty Struthers; a great-stepgranddaughter, Hannah Struthers; and one sister, Iva Sullivan of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Randall.
