SOUTH SIOUX CITY | Betty M. Stockton, 87, of South Sioux City, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, at a Sioux City care center.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church in South Sioux City, with the Rev. Douglas Dill officiating. Immediately following the service, there will be a lunch and time for visiting in the church fellowship hall. Burial will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, with the family present 5 to 7 p.m., at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home.

Betty Marie was born on Dec. 21, 1929, in Coleridge, Neb., the daughter of Clifford and Ann M. (Lewon) Case. She graduated from Homer (Neb.) High School in 1947. She attended Wayne State College.

She married William Stockton, Jr. on Aug. 6, 1949, in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Homer. She was employed at Nebraska State Bank and retired as office manager from Culligan Water Conditioning in South Sioux City.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church in South Sioux City. She enjoyed playing golf, bowling and playing pinochle.

Survivors include a son, Brent and his wife, Paula, Stockton of South Sioux City; two daughters, Richelle and her husband, Ron Larson, of Mallard, Iowa, and Kay Lowell of Dakota City; a brother, Jack (Cindy) Case of Wall Lake, S.D.; two sisters, Marlene Tipton of Winona, Minn., and Donna (Tom) Buck of La Crosse, Wis.; eight grandchildren, Troy Larson and wife, Angela, Tamela Milbrandt and husband, Chad, Melissa Coughlin and significant other, Kevin, Dianne McCormack, Kristie Orr and husband, John, Jennifer Doyle and husband, Adam, Sadie Rahn and husband, Josh, and Chase Stockton; 28 great-grandchildren, Taylor, William, Owen, Karson, Graysen, Cullen, John and significant other, Daniell, Heaven, Destiny, Howie, Noah, Lucia, Zaria, Reagan, Zane, Stasia, Christian, Parker, Lexi, John Jr., Braeden, Austin, Connor, Evie, Henry, Jordan, Isabella and Reece; and two great-great-grandchildren, Taliyah and Kenna.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William, on May 25, 1984; and two grandchildren, Michael and Moses Coughlin.
