SIOUX CITY | Harriette Dooley McGuire, 99, of Sioux City, passed away Monday, Feb. 20, 2017, at Holy Spirit Retirement Home in Sioux City.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Augustana Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Online condolences may be given at www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Harriette Jane (Larson) Dooley McGuire, the daughter of Harold and Lillian (Anderson) Larson, was born on June 24, 1917, in Sioux City. She was a graduate of Central High School and Morningside College, and pursued graduate studies at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill.

On Nov. 21, 1940, Harriette married Andrew Dooley in Sioux City. He passed away on Sept. 7, 1973. She later married John B. McGuire on March 11, 1976. He preceded her in death in 1994.

She worked at Sioux City Schools and at Morningside College. Harriette also worked with her husband at Dooley Drug Store in Leeds. After her second marriage, she and John worked together as travel agents at All Points Travel, and took many trips all over the world.

Harriette was a life-long member of Augustana Lutheran Church, where she was an active volunteer. She enjoyed golf, reading, playing bridge, and most of all, spending time with her family.

Harriette is survived by four children, Jane Wobken of Minneapolis, Kathryn Holtze and husband, Eric of Kansas City, Bill Dooley and wife, Terri of Sioux City, and Barb Uran and husband, Joe of Sioux City; three stepchildren, Patty Heinke and husband, Charlie of Lincoln, Neb., Jayne McGuire of Iowa City, Iowa, and John McGuire and wife, Nancy of Sioux City; 10 grandchildren, Karen Wobken, Kristin Swanson, Derek Wobken, Anna Sayre, Jane Hansen, Romie Behr, Andrew Dooley, Elizabeth Dooley, Matt Schonrock, and Kirstin Uran; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; a brother John W. "Jack" Larson; and a sister, Frances Hamilton.

The family requests that memorial gifts be directed to Augustana Lutheran Church.
