SIOUX CITY | Arlene Minnie (Peck) Konopisos formerly of Sioux City, passed away on March 23, 2017 in Dallas, Texas.

Visitation will be 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. today at Jeter and Sons Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas, before going to Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery for her internment.

Arlene was born on Dec. 21, 1919, in Cherokee, Iowa, to Benjamin and Martha Peck (Ladwig).

While studying at Morningside College in Sioux City, she met Konstantine "Tino" Konopisos, who would become the love of her life and husband for more than 69 years.

After a career as an art teacher, she later joined her husband as he conducted government business around the world. A lover of culture, food and art, Arlene traveled the world and throughout her dynamic life. Arlene was a caring and elegant person who loved the finer things in life. She was blessed with a beautiful long life filled with enduring love.

Arlene was blessed with a son, Dean (1948); a daughter, Linda (1949); grandchildren, Trina, Lisa and Jason; and two great-grandchildren, Leo Michael and Christopher.

The family takes solace in knowing she is reunited with her love, Tino.
