Papers out along the Iowa division of the Illinois Central gives account of the death of Jacob Keeler, a popular conductor on that road, who had a very extended acquaintance along its lines. The deceased was born over at Kent, a small town near Freeport, and died at his home in Sioux City. For the past twenty years he has been in the employ of the Illinois Central and for fifteen years has been passenger conductor running between Fort Dodge and Sioux City. The deceased was well-known in Dubuque, where he formerly made his headquarters.
