Mary H. Moran, 89, of Sioux City died Thursday March 12, 1998 at her home after a brief illness.

Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church with the Rev. George Zehnder and the Rev. Leo Kostizen officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 8:30 p.m. today with the family present from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Christy, Smith and Hockenberry Funeral Home.

Mrs. Moran was born on July 7, 1908, in Bonesteel, S.D., the daughter of Charles and Cora (Potter) Dummer. She attended school in Bonesteel and lived in Scotland, S.D. for several years. She married Lawrence Moran on March 31, 1928, in Olivet, S.D. They moved to Sioux City in 1943. He died on September 30, 1978. She moved to Omaha in 1990 and back to Sioux City in January 1998.

Survivors include five daughters, Lucille Edgar of Littleton, Colorado, Betty and her husband, James Moser, of Sioux City, Genevieve Hoth of Sloan, Iowa, Charlotte Nolan of Sioux City and Sandra and her husband, Melvin Ronfeldt, of Omaha, Nebraska; two sons and their wives, Charles and Pat of Meridan, Miss., and Keith and Carol of Omaha; four brothers, Alfred Drummer of Olivet, S.D., Frank Drummer of Springfield, Mo., Edgar Drummer of Brownwood, Texas and Marvin Drummer and his wife, Gertrude of Bois D’ Arc, Mo., 21 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Veronica; two grandsons, Allen Edgar and Michael Moran, great-granddaughter, three brothers, Charles, Oscar and William Drummer and two sisters, Ida Maruska and Edith Kusler.

Pallbearers will be Kirk Edgar, Robert Ronfeldt, Tim Owen, William Wheatcraft, William Huff and Jay Hoth.
