29 January 2017SIOUX CITY | Robert Jensen, 83, of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017, at a local hospital.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Robert was born on May 25, 1933, in Sioux City, to Harold and Teresa Jensen. He graduated from Central High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy.
He was united in marriage to Barbara Myers in 1963 in Sioux City. They made their home in Minneapolis, Spencer, Iowa, and for the last 50 years, Sioux City. Robert worked at Stone Container as a corrugator and parts manager for many years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Cubs.
Those left to honor his memory include his daughter, Patty Jensen of Sioux City; son, Rodney Jensen of Sioux City; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara; two sisters; and two brothers.
