SIOUX CITY | Lynn M. Osborn, 60, of Sioux City, was welcomed home by God Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, at a Sioux City hospital.

A celebration of life services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Radiant Life Community Church (the old Emerson School), 2410 W. First St., officiated by the Rev. Doug Collins. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff.

Lynn was born in Sioux City, on Jan. 9, 1957, to Robert and Mary Walker. Lynn attended Crescent Park Elementary, West Junior and graduated from West High in 1975. Lynn welcomed her first child, a daughter, Melinda Rae in September 1977.

Lynn worked for many years at The Sandbar and Galley, where she met her husband, Mark Osborn. Lynn and Mark exchanged marriage vows in July 1983. In August 1983, they welcomed a daughter, Mary Louise. One year later, they welcomed a son, Justin Allen in August 1984. And in September 1984, the Osborn family became complete, when Mark adopted Lynn's eldest daughter, Melinda Rae as his own daughter.

Many of Lynn's friends describe her as their rock. She was strong and always had a shoulder to for them to lean on. She will always be remembered for her infectious laugh and smile that could light a room. Lynn, Mark, and their children enjoyed many adventures together including camping, horseback riding, gardening, spending many summer days in the pool, and coaching their kids in soccer. Lynn enjoyed spending time with her five grandchildren, who each owned a special place in her heart.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Mark Osborn; three children and five grandchildren, Melinda and Erik Clark (daughter, Luci Clark) of Arkansas, Mary Osborn (son, Noah Goodshield) of Arkansas, and Justin (sons, Justin Jr, Brett, and Braeden of Arizona) and wife, Kayln Osborn of Colorado; a niece, Nicole and Brandon Majors (3 children) of Virginia; her mother-in-law, Karlyn Osborn of Sioux City; a brother-in-law, Todd Osborn of Sioux Falls, S.D. and his three sons; two sisters, Cindy Walker (Terry) of Sioux City, and Lynette of Georgia; and father and stepmother, Robert and Yolanda Walker of Georgia. She is also survived by her best friend from childhood, Kathy White of South Dakota; and numerous cousins.

She was welcomed home with open arms by our heavenly father; her grandmother, Margaret; mom, Mary; younger sister, Pam (who she is probably up there causing trouble with right now); baby brother, Scott Robert; and father-in-law, Ozzie.

We love you mom and miss you so much. Rest, enjoy and relax in heaven's arms momma.
