SIOUX CITY | Robert E. Bunch, 67, of Sioux City, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017, at a local hospital.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 6 p.m. today, with the family present 4 to 6 p.m., at the funeral home. Online condolences may be given at www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Robert was born Nov. 30, 1949, in Sioux City, the son of John S. Bunch Sr. and Leshia (Marshall) Bunch. He graduated from East High School and then enlisted in the United States Navy for four years. After his honorable discharge, Robert joined the Air Guard for 30 plus years, retiring as a Master Sergeant.

Robert married Louette Moon on May 23, 1970, in Sioux City.

Robert enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, and cycling in RAGBRAI. He was very artistic and creative and was an avid Hawkeye and Green Bay Packers fan. Above all, Robert loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Louette Bunch of Sioux City; children, Debbie (Kent) Maeschen of North Sioux City, Beckie Bunch of Le Mars, Iowa, Chad (Lacey) Bunch of Le Mars, and Brandon (Jessica) Bunch of Sioux City; 12 grandchildren; one great grandchild; a brother, James (Carol) Bunch of Sioux City; a sister, Eva May (Tom) Richards of Sioux City; and beloved dogs, Baxter and Brady.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Bunch Jr.; sister, Marsha Criddle; and a grandson, Ryan Walsted.
