SIOUX CITY | Annetta M. Weihe, 83, of Sioux City, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017, in Gilbert, Ariz., surrounded by her family.

Memorial services will be held at a later date in Sioux City.

Annetta was born on Jan. 14, 1934, in Danbury, Iowa, the daughter of the late David and Bessie Rogers. She graduated from Heelan High School.

She was married to the late Art Gale and later married Robert Weihe in 1968. Annetta retired from St. Luke's after many dedicated years of service.

She enjoyed golf, bowling, bunco, cards, shopping and volunteering at church and Holy Spirit. She loved all outdoor activities and was constantly in motion. She was a lifelong member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. Most of all she cherished the time spent with family and friends.

Annetta "Ms. Y" was blessed with six children, Doug Gale, David (Kristi) Gale, Denny (Debbie Swant) Gale, Danny (Jayne) Gale, Linda Gale, and Robyn (Dan) VanEldik; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She is survived by a brother, John "Buddy" and Mary Ann Rogers; and a sister, Mary "Mickey" and Glen Hoff.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Ruth Perley, Lois Frink and Betty (Salem) McCormick.

A special thanks to the loving staff at American Orchards in Gilbert Ariz., who made mom's last days the best they could be.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Annetta's name may be sent to St Boniface Catholic Church in Sioux City.
