SIOUX CITY | Dianne Schubert, 76, of Sioux City, passed away Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, at her home.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Southern Hills Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Online condolences may be given at www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Dianne, the daughter of Vern and Amelia (Hanson) Carlson, was born on Sept. 3, 1940, in Wakefield, Neb. She graduated from Wakefield High School.

On Sept. 11, 1960, Dianne was united in marriage with Marvin Schubert in Wakefield. Two children were born to this union. Dianne and Marvin first made their home in Sioux City where she worked at Younkers. From 1964 to 1968, they lived in Breckenridge, Colo., and returned to the area and lived in South Sioux City until settling in Sioux City in 1970. Dianne worked in housekeeping at Morningside College for 20 years before taking a position with Tip Top Tux from 2006 to 2016.

Dianne was a member of Southern Hills Baptist Church.

Dianne is survived by her husband, Marvin Schubert; a son, Keith (Jamie) Schubert; three grandchildren, Kayla, Kolten and Jordyn; two brothers, David Carlson and Dennis (Ellen) Carlson; other in-laws; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Marvin's parents; and a daughter, Kelly Schubert.
