Former Danbury resident dies in Sioux City Jan. 25

Charlotte Rozell, age 79, of Le Mars died Tuesday, January 25, 2000 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

Mass of Christian Burial was at 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 28 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Andrew Hoffmann officiating. Interment was at 4:30 p.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Danbury, Iowa. Visitation was after 2:00 p.m. Thursday with a 4:00 p.m. Christian Mothers Rosary and a 7:00 p.m. Sciptural Wake Service at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.

Mary Charlotte Rozell was born June 21, 1920, in Danbury, Iowa, to Bob and Teresa Driscoll. She graduated from St. Patrick's Academy in 1938. Mary Charlotte was the parish secretary for St. Mary's Catholic Church and was a teacher's aide at Danbury Catholic Grade School. Mary Charlotte married Archie Pry in Danbury who passed away in 1975. On December 11, 1993, she married Arvil Rozell in Danbury. The couple lived in Le Mars. Due to illness, Charlotte had made her home at The Abbey in Le Mars since May of 1999.

Mary Charlotte was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Le Mars and the Catholic Daughters of America.

Survivors include her husband, Arvil of Le Mars; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and T. Gary White of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Reba and Bob Moon of Le Mars; a son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Twyla Pry of Le Mars; four stepsons, LaVerle Rozell of Hawarden, Iowa, Randall Rozell and his wife, Jean of Bagley, Iowa, Dallas Rozell and his wife, Kay of Jefferson, Iowa and Myron Rozell of Mapleton, Iowa; six grandchildren and eleven step-grandchildren.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, and a great-grandson.

Pallbearers were Myron Rozell, Randall Rozell, Dallas Rozell, Aaron Moon, Kevin White and Bryan White.
