Arthur Morgan, 97, died on June 3, 2007, at the Osceola Nursing & Rehab Center in Osceola, Iowa. Funeral services were held at the Kale Funeral Home in Osceola on Thursday, June 7, 2007, at 7 p.m. Interment of Cremains was at Fairfield Cemetery, Rock Branch, on Friday, June 8th.

Arthur Marvin Morgan, son of Alexander and Sarah (Burk) Morgan, was born April 14, 1910, in Verdel, Nebraska. He grew up and attended school in Verdel. He married Irene Leota Rohr on October 17, 1929, in Pierce, Nebraska. This union was blessed by a daughter, Gloria.

Arthur and Irene farmed in Verdel for several years. They moved to Correctionville, Iowa, in August 1934 and continued farming until they moved to Washington State in 1936. They soon returned to Correctionville in 1937. Arthur served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After the war he returned to Correctionville where they resided for 42 years. He also worked as a mechanic and truck driver.

Arthur retired in 1975 and moved to Woodburn, Iowa, and to Osceola in 1980.

He was a member of the Woodburn American Legion and the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his grandchildren, Karla Bassett and her husband Rod of Osceola; Kary LeFebvre and wife Karen of Cresco, Iowa; Kelly LeFebvre of Osceola; Kurt LeFebvre and wife Mary of Grimes, Iowa; seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild as well as other relatives and friends.

He was preceded by his wife, Irene, daughter Gloria LeFebvre, son-in-law, Ray LeFebvre; great great grandson, Eric Phillips, five brothers and two sisters.
