Joann Y. Arrow, 71, of Sioux City passed away on Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, at a local hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. today at First Nations Outreach, 613 Water Street. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service.

Joann was born on May 24, 1937, in Sioux City, the daughter of Cecil and Victoria (Redwing) Torrez. She married Roger Arrow on Nov. 17, 1965, in Elk Point, S.D. He passed away on Nov. 27, 1997.

She was a member of St. Paul's Indian Mission. Joann liked to travel and had many hobbies. She loved to spend time with her kids and grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, Roger Arrow Jr. and Martin and his wife, Verla, all of Sioux City; four daughters, Lisa and her husband, Ignacio Gutierrez and Roberta DeLaCruz and Aurolio Sanchez, all of Sioux City, Tina and her husband, Tony Lopez and Deborah Luevano, all of Grand Island, Neb.; her grandchildren; her sisters, Carmen Keys of Denver, Colo., and Delores Torrez (Chili) of California; a brother, John Torrez of Sioux City; and a special niece, Winona "Nona" Perez.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters; and two brothers.
