SIOUX CITY | Sharen R. Larson, 76, of Sioux City, passed away Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, at home, comforted by her family.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, with the Rev. Michael Cronin officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with family present at 6 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Condolences may be offered at www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Sharen was born Feb. 7, 1940, in Hawarden, Iowa, to Leo L. and Mary Elma (McGloghlen) Comstock. She received her education in Sioux City Public Schools, graduating from Central High School.

Sharen married Ronald C. "Ron" Larson Sept. 5, 1958, in Groton, Conn.

Her career was in recovery services, helping many women in recovery as she was an alcohol/addiction technician.

Sharen was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church.

She enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, camping, bird-watching, and outdoor activities.

Survivors include her husband, Ron of Sioux City; children, Lori (Curt) Wright of Nebraska, Lance (Sue) Larson of Sioux City, Lonn (Lori) Larson of Minnesota, Linda Larson and daughter Jaiden of Sioux City, Leann (Brad) Henkel of Sioux City, Leif (Tracy) Larson of Sioux City and Lake (Brandi) Larson of Sioux City; 20 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and five sisters.
