SIOUX CITY | Selena Suhorepetz-Miller of Sioux City started the journey home to our heavenly father on May 8, 2016, following a traumatic brain injury.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Concordia Lutheran Church, 2000 Military Road, in Sioux City, with the family present.

Selena was born on Dec. 28, 1976, to Craig and Peggy. Selena graduated from high school in Wilton Iowa. She returned back to the Sioux City area in 2009 and had lived in the area and called Siouxland home ever since.

Selena enjoyed life to the fullest and was very caring and kind to others. She had a big heart and cared deeply for friends and family. Selena would even be the one to give you the shirt off her back if you needed.

Selena is survived by her partner, Charles Nicolls of Sioux City; her grandfather, Wayne Wilkens of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; her aunt, Marilyn Hoffmann-Nye of Davenport Iowa; an uncle, Kevin Suhorepetz of St. Paul Mo.; her mother and stepfather, Peggy and Laurence Bertrand of Quimby Iowa; a brother, Aaron Suhorepetz and partner, Heidi Rasmussen; sisters, Kaye and Salomon Sanchez of Sioux City, Trish Brambila of Sioux City, Amanda and James Vogel of Correctionville, Iowa; her son, Talon Michael Burke of Cedar Rapids Iowa; her daughter, Raven, and son, Gage Antonio, both of Muscatine Iowa; and many more friends, neighbors and family including lots of cousins, nieces and nephews

Selena was preceded in death by her father, Craig Suhorepetz; paternal grandparents; a maternal grandma, Nora Jean Wilkens; a brother, Paul Wayne Suhorepetz; and three nephews, Josiah Thomas Vogel, Jonathan, and Micah.
