SIOUX CITY | Mary J. Trudeau, 88, of Sioux City passed away Friday, July 22, 2016, at Holy Spirit Retirement Home.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Spirit Retirement Home Chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Meinen officiating. Burial will follow in Bluff View Cemetery at Vermillion, S.D. Visitation with family present will be one hour prior to service time at Holy Spirit. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Mary was born on Nov. 19, 1927, in Sioux City, the daughter of William and Margaret Franks. She attended Catholic schools in Sioux City.

Mary married Philip Trudeau on June 1, 1957, in Sioux City. Philip passed away in 1990.

Mary was a surgical technician at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital (Mercy Medical) for over 35 years. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. Mary enjoyed train trips (she would never fly), going for coffee, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Paul Trudeau of Omaha, and Theresa Trudeau of Sioux City; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Mary Ann; son, Thomas; and grandson, Paul Jr.
