Lottie C. (Hardy) Boquio, 80, of Sioux City died unexpectedly Thursday, May 9, 2002, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Sioux City Baptist Church with the Rev. James Pointer officiating. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., all at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Mrs. Boquio was born Jan. 30, 1922, in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of Albert and Cleo (Pollson) Cruze. She grew up in San Antonio and lived in Lubbock, Texas, Claremont, Calif., Monrovia, Calif,. and Lawrence, Kan., where she worked as a licensed practical nurse before retiring and moving to Sioux City.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Carl and Claudia Hardy of Sioux City; three stepdaughters, Stephanie Harvey of Lawrence, Kan., Dorothy Chick, doing missionary work in South Africa, and Cherry Consencino of Victorville, Calif.; a brother and his wife, Albert and Mary Cruze of Tenino, Wash.; a sister, Dorothy Locey of Oregon; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four husbands, Morris C. Hardy, Lloyd Harrod, Gene Chick and Fred Boquio; and four sisters, Cleo Stanhope, Lois Kovar, Nellie Kovar and Ruth Cruze.
