Sharon L. Beargeon, 49, of Sioux City died Sunday, May 12, 2002, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a vigil service at 7 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Ms. Beargeon was born Feb. 2, 1953, in Sioux City, the daughter of Ralph G. and Amelia (Gagna) Beargeon Sr. She graduated from Heelan High School in 1971.S he worked at Zenith Radio Corp., Aalfs Manufacturing, Donnelly Marketing and Western States.

She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. She was a beloved sister and aunt. She loved animals and enjoyed sports.

Survivors include a brother and his wife, Ralph G. Jr. and Fran of Sioux City; five sisters, Julie and her husband, Richard Scott, Karen Uhl, Cheryl Beargeon, Jeanne Heuton and her companion, Mike Heuton, and her twin, Sherry and her husband, Michael Newman, all of Sioux City; 13 nieces and nephews; and six great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald; and her parents.

Pallbearers will be Matt and Mike Heuton, Kevin Scott, Randy Uhl and Christopher and Ryan Newman. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Uhl, Kirk Scott and Jim Heuton.
