16 October 2016SIOUX CITY | Jackie Hurd, 88, of Wichita, Kan., formerly of Sioux City, gained her wings Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City.
She was born on May 7, 1928 in Sioux City. She married Dean Hurd on Aug. 11, 1945.
She was active in Abu Bekr Womens Auxiliary. She was a member of Eastern Star, a 4-H leader, and Girl Scout leader. She was a member of Merrill and Hinton (Iowa) United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and David Robberson, and Dena and Ron Wooster; one grandson; three granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one brother; one sister; and her granddog, Coco.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dean; brother, Sonny Mustapha; and granddaughter, Stacey Wooster
