SIOUX CITY | Jean Iseminger 84, of Sioux City, passed away Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, at home.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Radiant Life Church, 2410 W. First Street, in Sioux City. Visitation with family will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the church. Arrangement are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave.

Jean was born on March 23, 1932, in Sioux Falls, S.D., the youngest of three children of Clarence and Selma (Moen) Bahnson. She was raised and educated in Inwood, Iowa.

After graduating from high school, she married Wes Iseminger on Aug. 3, 1952. During their married life they lived in Oceanside, Calif., Canton, S.D., Alcester, S.D., Hull, Iowa, Moville, Iowa, and spent the last eight years in Sioux City. They also enjoyed traveling together, and made it to almost all 50 states, including Hawaii and Alaska.

Her only desire in life was to be a housewife and mother. She did work for a time in the family business and for ten years at Marian Health Center but the focus of her life was her church and family. The biggest joy in her life was being involved in her children and grandchildren's daily lives. In her younger years, she enjoyed cooking, bowling and was a long time Cub fan.

In spite of her many health struggles over the years, Jean maintained her faith and a positive attitude. She was blessed to have had the help of many wonderful healthcare providers, including those at the June E. Nylen Cancer Center, Family Healthcare of Siouxland and Unity Point Home Healthcare. She was also blessed to have the support of her church family, wonderful neighbors and friends.

She will missed terribly by those who thought of her as the most perfect wife, mother and grandmother including her husband of 64 years, Wes; four children, Steve (Karen) Iseminger of Sioux City, Cindy O'Kane of Sioux City, Susan (Terry) Scheehle of Tucson, Ariz., and Chris (Rick) Zarkos of Sergeant Bluff; 10 beloved grandchildren; and 13 precious great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers.
