ANTHON, Iowa | Elizabeth M. Cunningham, 52, of Anthon, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016, at her sister's home in Anthon.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Anthon, with the Rev. Terry A. Roder officiating. Burial will be in Mount Saint Joseph's Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a Scriptural prayer service at 7 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home in Correctionville, Iowa. Elizabeth Mary Cunningham was born on Nov. 25, 1963, to Charles and Edna (Petersen) Cunningham, in Battle Creek, Iowa. Beth was raised with her five siblings in Anthon. She was baptized, received her first communion and was confirmed at St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Anthon. As a child, she was involved in an automobile accident in which she suffered a traumatic brain injury. She graduated from Anthon-Oto High School with the class of 1983.

One of Beth's greatest joys was becoming a mother to her daughter, Lisa, and grandmother. She also enjoyed being a loving aunt to her sibling's children. She was also a great caregiver to her parents. She enjoyed volunteering and helping at bingo and also supported and helped her neighbors and community members in need. She volunteered for events with Missing and Exploited Children. In her final days, she was able to complete and publish her autobiography. She was a giving person even until her final day when she became an organ donor.

She loved to play cards, bingo, attend concerts and enjoyed trips to the casino. She thoroughly enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Beth is survived by her daughter, Lisa d'Auguste (Jim) of Dakota Dunes, S.D.; mother, Edna Cunningham of Anthon; grandchildren, Charlie, Mitchell, Aiden, Ella and Paige; sisters, Lorna Jepsen, Ruth Moody of Moville, Iowa, Kathy (Chris) Jacobsen of Anthon, and Loann Letterly of Mapleton, Iowa; brother, Shon Cunningham of Anthon; numerous nieces and nephews; several close friends; and beloved dogs, Lucy, Sophia, Sassy and Lady.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles "Frank" Cunningham; paternal grandparents, James and Mary Cunningham; maternal grandparents, Carl and Ruth Petersen; brothers-in-law, Jay Moody and Robert Letterly; and several aunts, uncles and other family members.
