Olive May Grieve Died 1947

Miss Olive May Grieve, about 66, who was employed more than 25 years by the Pelletier Co., department Store, died recently at her home in Webb, Iowa. She was stricken at the breakfast table.

Word of Miss Grieve’s death was received here by Miss Mary C. Schlupp, 914 Douglas Street. Miss Grieve began as a check girl with the department store here and rose to buyer of the ready-to-wear department. She went to Wedd a short time before the store here discontinued business.

Miss Grieve had been ill several years and was hospitalized here on several occasions and at Laurens, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Cobb-Warner Funeral Home in Spencer. Rev. Warren L. Green of the Baptist Church at Webb officiated and burial was in the Garfield Cemetery near Webb.

Survivors include three cousins, Frank, George and John Grieve, all of Webb and a sister-in-law, Ida Grieve of Storm Lake.
