Howard V. Fish, Jr., 24, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Fish, 315 S. Martha Street, died Tuesday night in the Veterans hospital in Minneapolis after a long illness.

Until his discharge from the army because of ill health, he was a radio technician first class at Fort Lewis, Washington.

He was born June 26, 1919, in Sioux City. He was graduated from East High School in 1937. He enlisted in 1940.

Howard was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Surviving in addition to his parents are a brother, Duane L. seaman second class, Farragut, Idaho: and two sisters, Mrs. Joe L. Beedle and Mrs. Louis Boyer, both of Sioux City.

The body, scheduled to arrive early Thursday from Minneapolis, will be taken to the W. Harry Christy funeral home in Morningside.
